Return Path Gives DoubleClick ECOA Capabilities

E-mail change of address services provider Return Path Inc. said yesterday that it has integrated its ECOA service into DoubleClick Inc.’s DARTmail e-mail service platform.

Return Path also said it struck similar deals to integrate its services into Bigfoot Interactive’s and Lyris Technologies’ platforms.

DoubleClick’s DARTmail technology lets online marketers and publishers create and deploy e-mail marketing campaigns. The system is used by more than 250 companies. The agreement with Return Path means DARTmail customers can immediately utilize ECOA for their campaigns.

“Each time one of our clients loses an e-mail address, it has a direct negative cost and revenue impact on their business,” said Court Cunningham, vice president and general manager of DoubleClick’s DARTmail Technology unit. “By integrating Return Path ECOA into DARTmail, our clients can more quickly begin recovering e-mail addresses that would otherwise be lost due to e-mail churn.”

Return Path’s ECOA service lets businesses keep their e-mail lists current and provides a way for consumers to let businesses know when they change their address.
