Business-to-business Internet software provider Retek Inc. launched a service yesterday for its Web site, retail.com.
The service, Retail.com Design, was established to aid retail.com members manage the retail apparel design process, allowing retailers and suppliers to create new to shorten lead times, reduce product errors, and reduce costs in the product development cycle. It enables designers, planners, suppliers, and managers to determine product factors, such as color, labeling, quality control, packaging and cost online.
Retail.com offers two other e-services: retail.com WebTrack and Retail.com Trackit.
