Restoration Hardware Inc., Corte Madera, CA, reported late Wednesday that it experienced a net loss of $6.2 million for the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $3.4 million for the same quarter of 2000.
Net sales for the quarter that ended Aug. 4 totaled $74.8 million, the company said, up 3.5 percent from $72.2 million during the same period last year.
Direct-to-consumer sales, which include catalog and Internet channels, rose 71.6 percent to $6.7 million, compared with $3.9 million during last year’s second quarter.
