Resort Developer Pays State No-Call Penalty

Flagship Resort Development agreed to pay an $8,400 civil penalty to settle charges that it violated the Pennsylvania no-call list rules, the state attorney general said yesterday.

The state received no-call complaints about Flagship, Atlantic City, NJ, from 42 Pennsylvania consumers, the attorney general's office said. Flagship also blocked display of its caller ID information in violation of state law, according to the attorney general.

The calls occurred between November 2002 and July 2003. Flagship admitted no wrongdoing in the settlement but agreed to comply with state telemarketing regulations in the future in addition to paying the penalty.
