ReachLocal offers SMBs local ad platform

Local online marketing company ReachLocal has launched ReachLocal Xchange, an ad technology platform, whose anchor publishers are the Fox Audience Network and Ask Sponsored Listings—Ask.com’s paid search ads.

“As consumers continually fragment online, chasing the local consumer has become more difficult,” said Rob Wright, co-founder of ReachLocals and GM of the Xchange platform. “Reaching those consumers has become a function of reach, which we can now offer local advertisers with Fox and Ask.”

Xchange offers major and long-tail online publishers a way to tap into the ad budgets of local businesses. Those publishers can create custom ad inventory offers that are promoted to local advertisers by ReachLocal’s sales team of feet-on-the-street Internet Marketing Consultants (IMCs).

Additionally, by partnering with Fox and Ask, Xchange gives local advertisers better reach across online publishers with a single media buy, as well as campaign tracking and reporting.

The Fox Audience Network reaches more than 100 million users and includes MySpace, Photobucket, Fox Sports Interactive and AskMen. Ask.com reaches 75 million US monthly users.

ReachLocal has nearly 500 IMCs in more than 35 offices in the US, Australia, Canada and the UK.
