Range evolves from search to full service interactive shop

Range Online Media reached its fifth anniversary this month, and the company has a lot to celebrate.

The Fort Worth, TX-based search agency started off providing paid and organic search marketing campaigns. Today, the company still offers search engine optimization, but also engages in interactive marketing services like online media placement, strategic planning, feeds and new media solutions.

“The growth over the past five years has been exciting and even more rapid than expected,” said Misty Locke, president of Range.

“The past two years have been especially exciting, with a 100 percent increase in our number of clients and a 150 percent increase in staffing,” she claims. “Some of the accolades we’ve received are more than I could have hoped for as well, like being named to Fast Company’s list of the Top 25 Women Business Builders last year.”

The company has more than 50 employees in five different cities and represents brands like American Greetings, Toshiba, CompUSA, Accor Hotels, Journeys, The Sundance Channel and Johnston & Murphy.

The 2006 Jupiter Research Search Engine Marketing Constellation Survey recently gave Range the highest average client satisfaction rating in the search marketing industry.

The company adopts an individualized approach to each client’s campaign, using employees’ knowledge and experience to build customized campaigns for clients, JupiterResearch’s report.

“The breadth of interactive services we are now providing, like offering media services to Pier 1, Wyndham and CompUSA, among others, is a good indicator of our growth plan,” Ms. Locke said.

“I’d love to say that in five years, we will have taken over the interactive world,” she said. “I see us continuing to offer our valued clients comprehensive and measurable marketing programs that span across the online spectrum. I also see us duplicating our domestic success internationally.”
