Quebecor World Inc. has opened a new offset production facility in Riverside, CA, for the mass production of retailer inserts and mailers, the Montreal-based commercial printing company said yesterday.
The 196,000-square-foot facility is expected to go operational with three offset heatset presses in the fourth quarter of 2002, with an additional four presses to be installed in the first quarter of 2003. More presses may be added later.
The new location will serve West Coast markets, Quebecor said. The company chose Riverside based on the area's strategic location and development incentives offered by the local government.
About 50,000 square feet of the facility will be used as Quebecor's latest World Logistics consolidation facility, providing mail, retail insert, magazine, book and commercial product delivery. The World Logistics facility will serve southern California and Arizona.
