Quebecor World will launch a $13 million expansion to its facility in Dubuque, IA, which produces hardcover and paperback books, Montreal-based Quebecor said yesterday.
The expansion includes new presses, sewing and in-line binding and casing-in capacity, Quebecor said. The additions aim to enhance the plant's ability to produce educational textbooks.
Quebecor said it expects to complete the expansion by the middle of second-quarter 2004. The project represents the second phase of efforts to expand the plant, which will have received a total of $19 million worth of expansions when the current phase is completed.
