Quad/Graphics Opens San Francisco Imaging Center

Commercial printer Quad/Graphics has opened a 4,600-square-foot regional imaging service center in San Francisco, the company announced yesterday.

The center opened earlier this month and is the 16th site in the Quad/Graphics network of imaging service centers, which includes six other regional centers in Anaheim, CA, Boston, Dallas, Minneapolis, New York and Washington. Magazine publisher Conde Nast has begun using the San Francisco location in the production of Wired magazine.

In addition, Quad/Graphics relocated its sales team in Sausalito, CA, to the new location. The company’s imaging services generated $146 million in revenue in 2002, and Quad/Graphics is predicting 15 percent growth in this sector in 2003.

Quad/Graphics said the San Francisco location is part of an ongoing expansion plan, which also includes a new printing plant currently under construction in Oklahoma City.
