Quad/Direct Marketing, a division of Quad/Graphics, has become an associate member of PODi, a 130-member industry organization promoting the development of digital printing infrastructure.
The group promotes interoperability in digital print technology through standards. In joining PODi, Quad/Graphics gains access to digital print experts and marketing and informational materials including the annual PODi best practices report.
With 12,000 employees and $2 billion a year in sales, Quad/Graphics, Sussex, WI, is the world's largest privately held printing company. Its Saratoga Springs, NY, plant became the first web offset plant in the industry to offer 100 percent digital imaging services in 1998.
