Quad/Graphics merged several software tools into a new business unit, the printer said yesterday.
QuadSystems will develop, market and support publication management systems to help magazine publishing, book publishing, advertising and catalog businesses improve their efficiencies. The unit currently offers the AdSync, Impoze, PlanSystem3 and RAPS (Regional Ad Planning System) software solutions.
Quad/Graphics, Sussex, WI, in 2000 acquired Impoze Systems, the software development company that created AdSync, Impoze and RAPS. Earlier this year, it signed an exclusive North American distributor agreement with Amsterdam-based Van Gennep, developer of PlanSystem3.
Steve Jaeger, who serves as Quad/Graphics' vice president of information systems, will lead QuadSystems.
