The Publishers Clearing House Online Network has launched a mobile site for the iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
The site, at www.pch.com/iphone, lets visitors enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes once per day.
“There are two reasons for doing this. We see that the market is moving to the mobile space, and the iPhone is the most prevalent place,” said Dennis Vukelic, director of online strategy at PCH. “We’ve also seen an uptick in traffic coming to our site from mobile phones. So we decided that we should address this and optimize our site for the mobile phone.”
The site includes mobile display ads through a partnership with Nexage, a provider of mobile ad optimization technology. The site also features cross-promotional content for other sites in the PCH network.
In future versions of the site, magazines, merchandise and advertising partner programs will be included.
PCH will launch versions of the mobile WAP site for other mobile devices in the coming weeks .
