PSP Marketing, ParView Form Marketing Agreement

PSP Sports Marketing said Friday it has entered into a marketing agreement with ParView Inc., Sarasota, FL, a GPS course management and wireless communications system for the golf industry.

PSP will be responsible for coordinating advertising for ParView’s in-cart GPS system. The system provides golfers with a graphical hole and green overview, exact distancing, electronic scorekeeping, a live tournament leader board, food an beverage ordering, and two-way communication with the pro shop.

ParView also recently introduced a patent-pending credit card swipe interface with the in-cart GPS system that will allow golfers to pay for their outing, order merchandise directly from sponsors whose advertising messages are integrated with the golfing information, or pay for their food and beverage orders.

“We are very excited about the relationship with PSP Sports Marketing,” said Nathan J. Yoder, vice president of marketing at ParView. “We currently have the ParView system installed at 70 golf courses throughout the U.S. We have integrated nonobtrusive advertising messages in with graphic displays of each hole.”

Through the ParView system, advertisers can have their messages changed on one course, or all of them, overnight from ParView’s headquarters to reflect a promotion or new ad campaign, said Thom Hering, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
