Prospero Powers Blogs for Publications

Prospero, a provider of community content management solutions, said this week that its hosted Prospero Blog application is used widely by online publishers that are creating online communities to engage their audiences, build their brand and leverage customer-generated content.

Such publications include Better Homes and Gardens, Consumer Reports, Ladies Home Journal, MORE Magazine and Fine Woodworking.

The company also announced TalkBack, the integration of its Active Content API with Prospero Blog. This allows blogs to link with discussion boards and lets blog content be published throughout a publisher's site. TalkBack lets blog readers engage in online discussions with peers who also are reacting to the blog article. TalkBack gives online publishers the option in their blogs for individual comments or full discussions.

Active Content API also lets an organization take content generated from its blogs and associated discussion boards and display it anywhere on its Web site while still maintaining editorial control over the content.
