Priceline.com, Stamford, CT, an Internet company that allows consumers to bid on products and services through the Internet, yesterday announced an agreement with NextCard, San Francisco, an online issuer of Visa and Mastercard credit cards, that will allow consumers to select their own terms for a priceline NextCard brand credit card. The offer will begin in the second quarter of this year.
In addition to selecting their own credit card terms, priceline.com customers will receive such NextCard services as a one-click NextCard Concierge wallet companion, account alerts, electronic statements and bill payment. The priceline NextCard also will include a customer loyalty program and customized e-commerce services. NextCard will also participate in priceline.com's “sponsor dollars” marketing program, which will enable customers to increase the amount of their priceline.com purchase offers by specified amounts by using the card to complete an online transaction. For example, a customer who applies for or uses a priceline.com NextCard to bid for an item could have up to $40 instantly added to their purchase offer.
