PostX Promises Seamless, Secure E-Mail for Mobile Devices

PostX, a provider of secure electronic communications, yesterday debuted the PostX Envelope with Mobile Device Extensions, an added feature to its messaging platform that allows secure e-mail delivery to mobile devices.

The PostX Envelope is a software product that securely delivers sensitive information via e-mail without requiring the recipient to download any software.

This new capability gives PostX customers encrypted mobile e-mail delivery. In addition, external recipients and users can view sensitive e-mails and data on their mobile device regardless of the document.

With most mobile device e-mail encryption solutions, the messages are decrypted by third-party software that is installed on the enterprise server. This is so that messages can be decrypted before they reach the mobile device or by software installed on the device itself, PostX, Cupertino, CA, said.

The PostX Envelope allows data to remain encrypted and secure at all times enabling the recipient to securely reply and forward e-mails as they would normally.
