PostX Corp., an electronic delivery service provider, yesterday debuted PostAll, an e-postal solution for national postal service providers worldwide.
PostAll provides mail recipients with confidentiality and control over direct marketing as well as letting them choose how they want their mail delivered — either by traditional paper and postage, by e-mail or by browsing the Web.
PostAll was developed by PostX in partnership with IBM; e-BX, an e-commerce and electronic bill payment service provider; and ErgoIDP, a worldwide post office technology provider.
“The postal industry faces increasing pressure from the decline of traditional mail volume, the growing threat from private-sector competition and the need for ironclad security,” said Howard Davidson, vice president of electronic postal systems at PostX. “However, traditional postal services are still ideally positioned to lead their countries in the inevitable evolution from paper to electronic mailing, if they are aggressive in offering well-designed, useful communication services that leverage their proven existing infrastructure.”
PostX developed the USPS Electronic Postmark in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service.
