Postal Reform Commission Sets Last 2 Meetings

The President's Commission on the U.S. Postal Service will hold its last two meetings July 16 and July 23 before submitting its report to President Bush by July 31.

The July 16 meeting takes place from 8:30 a.m. to noon Eastern time in Room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington. The commission will receive reports from each of its four subcommittees.

The July 23 meeting begins at 9 a.m. Eastern at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington. The commission will review and discuss a draft commission report.

Bush established the nine-member commission Dec. 11 to uncover problems with the USPS structure and suggest legislative and administrative steps to ensure the postal service's long-term viability.
