Poll: Public Unsure of DNC Details

A new poll claimed that though many Americans are familiar with the national no-call registry and have registered their numbers, they are still unsure which calls apply.

Also, half of those who registered or plan to do so think that the number of phone calls will go down “a lot,” according to a Harris Interactive telephone poll of 1,011 adults conducted Aug. 12-17. The study said another 37 percent of those registered think that calls will go down “a little,” and 11 percent think they will “not go down at all.”

Of those who have not registered and do not plan to, only 27 percent think calls will go down “a lot.” Thirty-three percent of the respondents said that the calls would fall “a little,” and 33 percent not at all.
