PitneyBowes PSI backs new UAA tool

PitneyBowes PSI and Direct Resource Solutions LLC have launched UAA Clearinghouse, a secured, central repository for undeliverable-as-addressed data. The database works on a pay-per-match basis, charging clients only when a valid new address match is found.

The product is an attempt to pick up where list hygiene services NCOA and CASS/DPV leave off, updating data for movers who have not reported change of address to the US Postal Service, as well as supplying missing apartment numbers or updated addressee information.

“Every time we talk to a mailer or list company, the response is, æWhy wouldn’t I do this?'” said Mark Shada, president of Direct Resource Solutions.

Dan Nordstrom, UAA Clearinghouse sales manager at Pitney Bowes, said the two companies felt a pay-per-match price was “the most fair pricing model for our customers.”

Lists that are uploaded to UAA Clearinghouse have address matches returned in the same format. Turnaround time for a mail list is guaranteed at 24 hours from receipt.

The company’s data partners were not specified, but were said to be large, reputable US data sources. Nordstrom said that preliminary tests with early undisclosed clients showed significant savings.
