Pitney Bowes Inc., Stamford, CT, reported Monday a 16 percent increase in third-quarter profits, citing strong domestic sales and a growing international market.
Revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30 rose 7 percent to $1.22 billion while net income totaled $136.5 million. The increase included a previously announced $10 million charge against earnings as part of the company's restructuring program.
The company also reported year-to-date earnings of $397.8 million, up from $351 million this time last year.
