PitneyWorks, the Internet-oriented small-business division of Pitney Bowes Inc., Stamford, CT, will offer ClickStamp Online software pre-installed on Dell Dimension and Inspiron small-business computers, the company announced yesterday.
Available this quarter, the computers will allow small-business owners to print postage from their desktops.
ClickStamp Online is an Internet postage service that allows small-business owners to import and print customized logos and graphics onto an envelope.
“This alliance will help small-business owners manage routine daily transactions by giving them a complete mailing package that can generate, address and print postage right from their desktop,” said Elise DeBois, president of PitneyWorks.
DeBois also said PitneyWorks is pursuing alliances with like-minded companies in various industries.
Terry Sadowski, vice president and general manager of Dell's small-business group, said that by including ClickStamp Online software on its small-business computers, “Dell is making it easier for our small-business customers to simplify their everyday transactions using the Internet.”
