Pitney Bowes Adds Browser-Based Postage to DeliverAbility

Pitney Bowes Inc., Stamford, CT, introduced a browser-based online postage option yesterday for its DeliverAbility enterprise package management software that lets customers purchase and print postage from their computer.

Users can select the U.S. Postal Service as a shipping option, pay for the postage at their desktop and print the shipping label on a laser printer. Both the sender and receiver can track the delivery status of the package online. The option is available for USPS Express and Priority package services.

The option also lets DeliverAbility users compare carrier rates and schedules for all major shippers.
