PEOPLENEWS: New hires and career moves in the DM industry

Chris Petite has joined Barton Cotton, Columbia, MD, as strategy director. He last served as marketing manager for Baltimore-based World Relief, where he managed the Internet marketing, video production and media relations programs.

 
Epsilon has promoted Chris Harrison to chief technology officer, strategic data­base services and Purandar Das to chief technology officer, interactive services. Both previously served as SVP in the Dal­las-based company’s strategic database services division.

Jim Davis has been appointed to chief customer officer, direct marketing at Harte-Hanks. This is a newly created position. He will retain his position as SVP for the company.


Chatty Teirstein
has been promoted to VP of the consumer brokerage division at Direct Media Inc. She began her career at Direct Media in 2001.

Heather Dougherty (3) has joined New York-based Hitwise as director of research. Dougherty joins Hitwise from Nielsen Online, where she was senior retail analyst for industry and publishing research projects.

MRM Worldwide has hired Michael L. Miller as director of business develop­ment for North America. He replaces An­ders Ekman, who left MRM in December.

Neal Bangerter has been named VP of product management and Chris Betts VP of corporate development at Reatrix Systems Inc., Redwood City, CA. Bangerter was formerly business devel­opment manager and product planner in Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division, while Betts was previously at Hidden River LLC.

Bob Priest-Heck has been appointed CEO of Immersa Marketing, previously Chase Marketing Group.
