Paw.com Helps Ailing Firms Sell Copyrighted Property

Paw.com, an e-business services firm, has announced an offering designed to help failing companies sell their trademarks, patents, domain names, source code and mailing lists.

The service includes an evaluation of a company's intellectual assets. An electronic copy of each asset is then stored in an independent, off-site facility. Forwarding e-mail and trademarks are put on an independent public Web server for security reasons.

When assets are sold, Paw.com, Los Angeles, will assist in transferring the assets to the new owners. Fees are charged to the company or the investors for time and materials, and a varying monthly maintenance fee is applied as well.

Other pricing information was not divulged.
