Palo Alto Software said yesterday that it doubled its online conversion rates in just a few months using an analytics solution from WebSideStory Inc., an on-demand Web analytics provider.
Palo Alto Software, Eugene, OR, a leading supplier of business planning software, including Business Plan Pro, confirmed the increase after reviewing its year-end financials.
The company chose WebSideStory, San Diego, in September and immediately began using the service's conversion funnel analysis capabilities on its flagship sites www.paloalto.com and www.bplans.com.
Conversion funnel analysis lets a business define a process on its site, then track how successfully visitors make it through that process. Using real-time intelligence, business users can see how to eliminate roadblocks and optimize purchase paths.
Palo Alto Software also improved its return on investment in paid search keywords by more than 50 percent. The company used WebSideStory's on-demand marketing analytics to winnow the thousands of keywords it purchased and focus on the highest-performing words.
