Outrigger turns to ClickSquared for relationship building

Outrigger Enterprises Group, a leisure lodging and hospitality company based in Hawaii, has tapped ClickSquared to provide interactive relationship marketing services.

Outrigger’s goal is to build stronger, more personalized relationships with guests and industry partners; to that end, ClickSquared will provide data management, measurement and analysis, as well as strategic program planning and campaign development.

“This new partnership with ClickSquared will provide us with needed resources to develop deeper relationships with both our guests and travel agency partners,” said Rob Solomon, CMO of Outrigger, in a statement. “Working directly with ClickSquared, we hope to refine our marketing communications program so that we can produce more timely and relevant communications messages to our customers when, where and how they need the information delivered.”

An on-demand, multichannel database platform powers ClickSquared’s offerings, which should help Outrigger create more relevant and timely customer and partner communications. Touchpoints in this new effort will include online campaigns and travel agent communications.

The new marketing efforts coincide with reports that Hawaii’s tourism spending has softened throughout 2008. Total expenditures by air visitors to the state dropped 5%, to $7 billion, in the first seven months of 2008 vs. the same period last year, according to preliminary statistics from the Department of Business and Economic Development.
