Outdisk Lightens E-mail Attachments

Encryptomatic, a developer and reseller of value-added services, inaugurates Outdisk, an add-on file transfer protocol application for Microsoft Outlook.

Outdisk was designed to combat problems on e-mails with large attachments that bounce back because of the file’s size or if its extension was restricted.

Sending attachments using Outdisk is similar to attaching files to an e-mail. The sender opens a new e-mail message, clicks on the Outdisk e-mail toolbar, selects the file and then clicks the save button to return to the e-mail. When the e-mail is sent, attached files are routed to the sender’s FTP site and a downloadable link is inserted in the e-mail automatically.

The product retails for $39.99 for an individual license, with discounts for volume purchases, Moorhead, MN-based Encryptomatic said.

Additionally, for those without an FTP site or Web hosting account, Encryptomatic also offers 75GB of disk space and 1.1 tetra bytes of monthly transfer and unlimited accounts for $9.99 a month.
