Multichannel party supply retailer Oriental Trading named Dave Johnson SVP of marketing May 21.
Johnson, based in Omaha, NE, will oversee the company’s marketing and creative functions.
He last served as founder and president of Wisconsin-based agency Crosspoint Marketing. His client-side experience includes five years as EVP of direct marketing and e-commerce for School Specialty Inc. He also worked at Land’s End for 15 years, including five years as VP of direct marketing.
“[Johnson’s] extensive database and direct marketing experience — as well as his knowledge of consumer, educational, nonprofit and b-to-b customer segments — will help accelerate our growth going forward,” said Sam Taylor, CEO of Oriental Trading, in a statement.
