Oki Data Opens Online Customer Support Site

Computer equipment manufacturer Oki Data yesterday debuted my.okidata.com, a personalized Web portal that allows customer access to new product information and technical support.

Customers can create a “one-stop shop” by registering their Oki Data equipment, such as printers and faxes, at the Web site. Users receive e-mail support from Oki Data for product-specific questions. The site's database records each query for future reference.

News about relevant upgrades, supplies and special offers can be accessed from a personalized home page. A solutions center offers tips for creating better business documents, directions for revising warranties and important safety information.

“Building and sustaining strong relationships turns individual sales into loyal customers,” said Steve Boyd, vice president of customer service at Oki Data. “The introduction of my.okidata.com further aligns our Internet strategy with our customer service philosophy.”

Oki Data Americas Inc., Mount Laurel, NJ, is a subsidiary of Oki Data Corp. of Japan, a supplier of PC equipment, including serial impact dot matrix printers, digital LED page printers and fax products.
