Ogilvy hires Richards to integrate client work across practices

Ogilvy & Mather named Ben Richards to the newly created position of worldwide head of strategy this week. He will work to integrate the agency’s client work across its various practices, including direct marketing.

Richards will report to Miles Young, CFO, and Colin Mitchell and John Shaw, joint worldwide planning directors.

Young said in a statement that Ogilvy’s business model has become one featuring “’deep integration’ between the world of advertising, DM, PR and activation.”

Richards worked at Naked Communications from 2003 to this year, most recently as director of strategic services.
