Nielsen/NetRatings, Claritas Sign Marketing Deal

Claritas Inc., San Diego, and Internet audience measurement concern Nielsen/NetRatings Inc., New York, yesterday signed a partnership agreement that will enable marketers to target Web users more effectively by combining offline and online behavior.

Nielsen/NetRatings will combine its measurement information with Claritas’ Prizm and MicroVision marketing segmentation systems, which are used by companies in the financial, telecommunications, retail and energy industries to identify markets and locations and evaluate media and promotional opportunities.

Claritas provides marketing information and target marketing services for companies engaged in consumer and business-to-business marketing.
