The National Football League signed a multiyear agreement with GSI Commerce Inc. to manage and operate NFL Shop, which includes the league's official catalog and e-commerce site, NFLShop.com, GSI reported yesterday.
GSI is offering technology, fulfillment, customer care, merchandising and marketing services and will oversee the NFL's direct-to-consumer sales of licensed merchandise. GSI will provide paid search, affiliate marketing, advertising with comparison-shopping engines and e-mail marketing for NFLShop.com.
GSI Commerce also will manage the production and mailing of the NFL Shop catalog as well as merchandise sales for NFL direct response television promotions nationally and regionally.
Items sold on the site include authentic, replica and customized jerseys, hats, collectibles, tailgating products, DVDs and an assortment of other fan gear.
GSI Commerce, King of Prussia, PA, also provides e-commerce solutions for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and NASCAR.
