Next Generation Media Corp. reported last month that production for its image-booklet program, an eight-page coupon booklet, increased to 170,000 in October, up from 45,000 in September.
United Marketing Solutions, a print firm owned by Next Generation, produced the booklets for six clients, including Getty Oil, Auto Indulgence, Goodnoe Restaurants, Toyota and Nissan. A sixth client was not named.
The booklets, which can be used as mailers or as an in-store point-of-sales tool, are an outgrowth of United's coupon magazine business, which started in 1997. The coupon magazines are produced in a format similar to TV Guide and provide marketers with a way to supplement cooperative coupon products.
United, Springfield, VA, provides print services for the cooperative direct mail industry. The company has been working to diversify its product line to become a full-service marketing provider.
