New retail executives join NRF board

Four new online retail executives have been elected to the Shop.org board of directors, including leaders from Polo Ralph Lauren and Petco.

The newly-elected Shop.org board membersáare Miki Berardelli, vice president of marketing at Polo Ralph Lauren; Pinny Gniwisch, founder/executive vice president of marketing at Ice.com; Brett Hurt, founder/CEO of Bazaarvoice Inc.; and John Lazarchic, vice president of e-commerce at Petco Animal Supplies Inc.

“We had six retail openings and 3 non-retail openings and the members voted,” said Scott Silverman, executive director at Shop.org, Washington. “The board looks at the industry on an ongoing basis to address issues in the field.”

In addition, five executives have been reelected and ten board members will be returning. Re-elected Shop.org board members include Carrie Johnson, vice president and director of research at Forrester Research; Scott Key, vice president of CRM and business development at GAP Inc.; Richard Last, vice president and director of new business development at jcp.com and JCPenney; Kelly Mooney, president/chief experience officer at Resource Interactive; and Robert Myers, senior vice president at QVC.com.

Returning Directors include: Gary Briggs, senior vice president/chief marketing officer at eBay North America; Troy Brown, senior director and general manager at The Timberland Company; Chuck Davis, chairman/CEO at Fandango; Patti Freeman-Evans, senior retail analyst at JupiterResearch; Denise Incandela, president of Saks Direct, Saks Fifth Avenue; John McAteer, head of retail at Google Inc.; Tracy Mullin, president/CEO of the National Retail Federation; Elaine Rubin, president of Ekrubin Inc.; Scott Silverman, executive director at Shop.org; and Sam Taylor, senior vice president at HP Direct and Hewlett-Packard.

Each individual was elected by current Shop.org members last month to serve a two-year term.

Shop.org board members represent the needs of the Shop.org membership, provide strategic and financial advice on the mission, vision and operation of Shop.org and contribute to Shop.org’s authority in the industry.
