New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program to kick off e-campaign eyeing new members

The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program will kick off an e-mail marketing campaign in mid-November with an eye on acquiring new members.

The not-for-profit company which assists small to medium-sized manufacturers, worked with Grass Roots Marketing on the effort.

The e-campaign, which is powered by Constant Contact, is a part of a larger initiative, called “Made in New Jersey Campaign,” which is intended to raise awareness on the contributions manufacturing has made to the state’s economy.

“Our goal is to strengthen our existing relationships, while building a larger community of manufacturers,” said Kim Masterson, director of Grass Roots Marketing.

The campaign also ties into LinkedIn and Facebook, which urge potential members to join via e-mail sign-ups.

The e-marketing component will feature a newsletter that highlights new companies that have recently joined.

There is a forward-to-a-friend capability to encourage more companies to join, said Masterson.

She added that manufacturing companies that are out-of-state but are increasingly setting up business in New Jersey are an attractive target.

“They are a big selling point for NJMEP,” she said.

E-mail marketing promotions for the on-going campaign will run quarterly, she also said.
