Tumblr’s first CMO was named this week and it is Stephanie Dolgins, who began her career in the early ’90s producing integrated marketing campaigns for Rolling Stone and US Magazine at Wenner Media.
Dolgins left her own consulting business to join Tumblr. She previously served as CMO for Outcast Media and VP sales with the Walt Disney Internet Group, but spent the bulk of her career at AOL. During 11 years there, she served as VP marketing and directed creative services, women’s and multicultural programming, and sponsorships.
In other CMO news, Sitecore named Scott Anderson (left) to take over the role at the content management software provider. Anderson is a long-tenured marketing veteran in the technology segment with some 25 years at stops including Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Sun Microsystems. He served as VP of marketing at H-P from 2007 to 2012 before joining Bazaarvoice, where he was head of marketing until accepting his new position.
“Scott is a marketing and technology expert with customer advocacy in his DNA,” commented Sitecore CEO Michael Seifert.
