Neopost Online Inc., an Internet-based mailing and shipping solutions vendor, yesterday began showcasing its PC Postage technology, SnapStamps, at the World Stamp Expo, Anaheim, CA.
SnapStamps is an e-postage solution that allows First-Class, Priority Mail, and Express Mail users a fast and simple way to purchase postage over the Internet.
Users log onto a secure Web site, enter their credit card number, insert a USPS-approved sheet of secure self-adhesive label stock and print SnapStamps. Multiple SnapStamps can also be printed simultaneously.
SnapStamps does not require additional software, hardware, a meter license or set up fees. “(it is the first) PC Postage solution capable of delivering postage instantly to any computer connected to the Internet,” said J.P. Leon , chief technology officer, Neopost Online, Redwood Shores, CA.
In addition, the system is different from the other popular e-postage offerings on the market because it offers a time and date stamp on the stamp itself and a more advanced barcode, Leon said.
The product will be launched after receiving approval from the U.S. Postal Service.
