Neopost launches comparison tool

Neopost Inc., provider of mailing and shipping solutions, is now offering Online Shipping, a new multi-carrier online shipping application that lets users compare shipping options, through an agreement with UPS and the US Postal Service.

“Viewing all your shipping options at once helps you quickly gain control over how your packages and express letters get shipped by finding the best service based on destination and delivery time,” said Alex Alexander, product marketing manager for online shipping at Neopost.

The tool was designed for businesses that average two or more packages per day. Alexander said more of a need for this sort of tool due to the recent USPS rate change.

“This is an excellent example of ways UPS’s easy-to-use shipping technologies can complement the applications and product offerings of other companies,” said Diana Hatcher, a UPS spokesperson.

Representatives from the USPS did not respond in time for comment.

Neopost designed the three-step shipping application to speed up the parcel business.

“The key objectives of Online Shipping are to help simplify the shipping process and provide users with better control of their shipping operations,” said Olivier Lengignon, vice president of marketing at Neopost.
