Nazareth College has chosen Catalyst Direct Inc., Rochester, NY, to handle the institution's annual fund direct mail campaign, which begins next week.
Two other undisclosed agencies competed for the business, one from Rochester. Billings were not disclosed.
“The challenge is going to be integrating their annual fund efforts into everything the college is going to do, like building the Nazareth brand to support initiatives like their capital campaign, their recruiting efforts, anything they're trying to do to market their college,” said Mike Osborn, managing director at Catalyst.
Catalyst will create four mailings for the 78-year-old college in Rochester. It will target the college's database of alumni, friends of Nazareth and parents of students. Creative for each segment will be produced. The mail pieces drop over the next six months.
Founded in 1924 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Nazareth College is a private, co-ed college specializing in liberal arts and sciences. The institution has been independent for more than 30 years.
Catalyst's portfolio of clients includes Citigroup, Bausch & Lomb, MedAmerica, Tumi, Washington Mutual Finance and Household Credit Services. The agency opened in 1990.
