Nationwide Insurance has named Durham, NC-based McKinney as its new advertising agency of record. McKinney replaces TM, which had been the Columbus, OH-based insurer’s AOR since 1998.
“We are pleased to welcome McKinney as our new partner in supporting the Nationwide brand,” said Jennifer Hanley, SVP, marketing services for Nationwide, in a release. “McKinney has demonstrated that they understand the insurance and financial service industry, and they have really great ideas about how Nationwide can engage consumers by leveraging some of our key brand assets such as the On Your Side customer experience.”
McKinney will be tasked with providing creative and media planning services for integrated campaigns that will incorporate traditional and emerging media, including interactive, social and mobile media, according to the release.
The insurer is continuing its review of media buying agencies and expects to conclude the search, which includes current media agency UM, by mid-summer. Nationwide’s relationships with other partner marketing agencies will remain unchanged.
