National Lampoon debuts comedy e-mail program

Comedy brand National Lampoon Inc. is targeting consumers via e-mail with the launch of a new “Joke of the Day” e-mail program.

The program is available to users on several National Lampoon-owned properties, including National Lampoon’s Animal House, the National Lampoon Vacation series and National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, and will eventually be made available throughout the National Lampoon Humor Network.

“This program is something our base of users and fans have been requesting for years. It’s exciting to finally be able to offer the ‘Joke of the Day’ along with the other platforms over which our content is available on a consistent basis,” said Daniel Laikin, CEO of National Lampoon, in a statement.

The National Lampoon audience is 18- to 24-year-old college students in the US. Users can sign up at http://www.nationallampoon.com/ to receive e-mails. In the future, users will be able to control the content and frequency of the e-mails they receive.
