National Institutes of Health cancels agency search

The National Institutes of Health has cancelled its request for quotations in search of an agency to handle media and marketing communications and outreach for the National Library of Medicine.

The NIH, an office of the Department of Health and Human Services, cancelled the RFQ six months after it issued the request.

The RFQ, dated November 25, 2009, stated the NIH was seeking responses from vendors that could “procure general design services” for NLM’s Office of Communication and Public Liaison. Candidates were required to create newsletters and direct mail for the NLM.

The timeframe for the work was listed as a year from the date of award with four one-year options.

A representative from the National Library of Medicine could not be immediately reached for comment.
