MySoftware, Palo Alto, CA, and Pitney Bowes, Stamford, CT, have partnered to produce a solution that enables small- and medium-sized businesses to produce a direct mail campaign at their desktops and provides an extra distribution channel for MySoftware products.
Mail Essentials can download a business or consumer prospecting list from the Internet, manage the list in a database, design marketing materials then print and mail them. The first three functions are accomplished with private label versions of the MySoftware products MyProspects, MyMailList and MyAdvancedMarketingMaterials. The printing and mailing can be done by Pitney Bowes by sending digital versions of a mailing list and marketing materials to its production facilities through Direct Net. Each function of MailEssentials can be used separately.
Mark Moeller, director of business development for MySoftware, said MailEssentials will double the number of customers it can reach. MySoftware has been working with Pitney Bowes for two years and Moeller said there is little duplication of customer bases.
Pitney Bowes will market MailEssentials to its Personal Post Office customers through outbound telemarketing and also will sell the product to small business prospects. Pitney Bowes will add MySoftware to its recommended list of data providers that includes iMarket, Waltham, MA, and ProCD, Danvers, MA. Beta testing on MailEssentials is underway but pricing and a release date have yet to be determined.
