Membership services provider MyPoints.com said it has teamed up with e-Dialog and will offer the e-mail service provider's merge/purge services in its online direct marketing campaigns.
Under terms of the agreement, e-Dialog will provide deduping services to MyPoints' clients that request it. The service checks multiple databases and eliminates any duplicate names found.
“Since e-mail marketing is so much more cost-effective than offline direct marketing, deduping names has not been much of a concern in the industry until now,” said Merrill Gillon, MyPoints' director of trade marketing. “Now, not only are clients watching every penny, but they are increasingly sensitive to the volume of e-mails that people receive.”
MyPoints.com, San Francisco, offers clients targeted market development, demographic and offer testing and strategic database analysis services.
