Minneapolis-based Musicmaker.com said yesterday it would install more than $1 million worth of Rimage’s CD-recordable equipment in its new fulfillment facility in Reston, VA. Musicmaker.com expects the 35,000-square-foot plant to be one of the nation’s largest facilities dedicated to the production of customizable CDs.
Musicmaker allows its customers to build and organize their own CDs from a library of 250,000 tracks.
The company expects the new facility to expand Musicmaker.com’s ability to target additional markets through custom CD promotions with major consumer marketing companies.
