Musicmaker.com said yesterday that it produced and shipped more than 900,000 custom CDs — an increase of more than 3,000 percent from fourth-quarter 1999.
The company said it attributes the growth to promotions with artists such as the Beastie Boys, Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes.
