Multiple Zones International Inc., Renton, WA, a direct marketer of computer hardware, software, periphery and accessories, aligned its marketing efforts under two brands: Zones.com and Zones Business Solutions.
The company’s e-commerce vehicles, including the PC Zone, Mac Zone and ZonesAuctions sites, will be included in the Zones.com division, which will target home consumers and the small- and home-office market. The newly created Zones Business Solutions division will include outbound account management and e-commerce technologies targeting small- and medium-sized businesses. It will have its own dedicated online and print marketing support.
The company also said it launched a customized web site program for 500 of its largest business customers, offering detailed account information, customized merchandise offerings and volume discount pricing. Separately, Multiple Zones also launched an e-catalog program last month, using graphically rich e-mail messages linked to the Zones.com web site. Recipients can customize their e-catalog subscriptions according to manufacturer, end use or product category. The first transmissions included 140,000 e-catalogs featuring Hewlett-Packard products sent to prospects and customers, followed by a transmission of catalogs featuring Apple Computer products.
“E-vehicles like these will allow Zones to offer its customers unprecedented levels of customization and ease of use, while offering the company more highly targeted and cost effective marketing alternatives,” said Phil Lalji, chief executive of Multiple Zones.
