MSN Campaign Takes Shot at AOL

Internet service provider MSN has begun a $50 million advertising campaign in response to AOL's recently announced price increase.

The ad and marketing campaign will run online and offline. It will include direct mail but no details are available as to when it will begin. The campaign will start with print ads in major national and metro newspapers.

MSN is offering three months free and a $21.95 price guarantee until Jan. 1, 2003. Consumers can take advantage of the limited-time promotion by going to msn.com and signing up by June 30. MSN is also providing rebate programs through MSN retailers.
