mPoria and Medio partner to aid retailers in mobile commerce market

US mobile commerce technology provider mPoria Inc. and Medio Systems Inc., a provider of mobile search and advertising solutions, announced a partnership to assist retailers in the mobile commerce market.

“Both Medio and mPoria find that while mobile commerce is still in its infancy, the growth and revenue potential is enormous,” said Omar Tawakol, chief advertising officer at Medio Systems.

“We’re partnering to bring an easy but comprehensive mobile solution to companies who want to bring their storefront to the mobile user. MPoria helps its clients build a customer-facing m-commerce experience and through the Medio MobileNow Ad Network, we help drive new and interested buyers to their mobile property.”

Advertisers pay only when mobile ads are clicked, making this a cost-effective model to drive traffic to any new mobile commerce site.

The partnership is a part of mPoria’s GM3 program – a merchant marketing program mPoria announced last month. Medio’s MobileNow Ad Network complements GM3 by helping mPoria merchants effectively advertise and drive consumers to their mobile shopping sites through highly targeted mobile ad campaigns.

“Medio can educate and help leading retailers build successful mobile advertising campaigns and extract trends for mobile advertising and mobile commerce conversions,” Tawakol said.

The ad targeting that powers the Medio MobileNow Ad Network is based on the same search technology implemented by wireless operators such as Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Telus Mobility. This enables the most relevant ads to be served within a mobile environment and results in driving the most qualified audiences to advertiser sites.
